Thread Name: Lyr Add: Careless Love (various versions)
Subject: ADD Version: CARELESS LOVE (Pop Stoneman)
This is how I hear Ernest V. Stoneman's version of 'Careless Love'. There are some blurry lines in this - suggested corrections anyone?
CARELESS LOVE
Love, oh love, oh careless love
Love, oh love, how can it be
Love, oh love, oh careless love
To love someone that don't love me
Captain, captain tell me true
Does my little Willie sail with you
Oh no, kind miss, he is not here
He lies in yonder deep I fear
Love, oh love, oh love is blind
Love, oh love, oh love is blind
Love, oh love, oh love is blind
To love someone that will never be mine
I cried last night just like a child
I cried the night before
I cried last night just like a little child
But I'm not a-gonna cry any more
Tell that captain as he goes past
Tell that captain as he goes past
Tell that captain as he goes past
That I have found little Willie at last
Mama, mama, yonder he goes
Mama, mama, yonder he goes
Mama, mama, yonder he goes
He does not have no suit of clothes
Love, oh love, oh careless love
Love, oh love, how can it be
Love, oh love, oh careless love
To love someone that don't love me
