In Maine, not only are VA hospitals scheduled to close but also Help Centers which offer assistance to vets applying for benefits. How does a vet without money or a car get to a center for assistance in a state with almost no public transportation?

I do know that drugs and mental illness plague the men who returned. Many of them ended up on the streets when the Reagan Administration emptied the asylums of those deemed capable of fending for themselves.
