Elvis took more than Plaisirs d'Amour (Falling in Love With You). He had real good taste. He found a beautiful old Civil War tune, Aura Lee, and (he or someone he believed in) transformed it into "Love Me Tender".

"Aura Lee" has the distinction of having been mentioned in "Yellow Rose of Texas" "You Can talk about your Clementine or sing of Aura Lee / But the yellow rose of Texas is the only girl for me.
