I do think it's an unanswerable question, in fact it's plain daft given the nature of folk music, but I thought, well, if it's got to be answered, I'll give it a go. But what intrigues me is, why did you find the answer shocking? I thought it was pretty obvious. I mean, lots of pepple were suggesting Pete Seeger. I ask you, if it was down to a choice between Pete Seeger and Leadbelly, who would Pete Seeger choose? He worships Leadbelly!
