I don't post very much, but this is just too much. People saying they have never heard of Avril, that she is a JOKE? This refusal to accept her greatness is so, so . . . Oh, I can't even say it.

Heck, I LIKE her music, even though Dick refuses to stock her CDs. I have never heard him SAY this, just the fact that her stuff is not listed at Camsco which CLAIMS to "supply every folk music recording currently in print."

Just because some of you lot have never heard of her does not give you the right to make snide remarks about her. Her music is wonderfully profound, like the fantastic album (also released on special see through vinyl) "chat de boue, poissons de merveille, musique et merde de taureau extraordinaire" If she is not folk, she is nothing, in my opinion.

I have even heard rumors/rumours that she may plan a world tour of Hull, as she considers it fertile ground for her style of "bruit infantile de Français". All that remains to be worked out is the battle amongst the various venues which are clamoring for the right to feature her on alternate Wednesdays at 3 AM, the only time they don't have booked well into next year.   Perhaps John9 can fill us in on those developments. Toronto could even be in the mix if things can be worked out with The Fielding Agency.

One small quibble ~~ shouldn't this be listed with the MUSIC threads where everyone can see it?
