The CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) is right now reporting that Avril will NOT be singing at last night's Blue Jays' home opener.

The official reasons given (by her press agent I suspect) are that

A: She was never scheduled to sing last night in the first place and hence will not be showing up.

B: Being French, she doesn't know the words to "America the Beautiful" and was informed by Major League Baseball Inc. that a Petula Clark medley was NOT "Just as good".

C: She doesn't want to get anywhere near "That Canadian 'Avril' who just 'sucks and sucks, and has never even MET Justin Timberlake'.

Apparently her sessions with the late Willie Nelson WILL be recorded on schedule in the near future though. The 'single' will probably be:

"Est-ce que c'est un capo dans votre poche, ou etes-vous simplement heureux de me voir"?

Obviously a musical question we'd ALL like answered! Right?
