Thread Name: Songs You Don't Do Anymore
Subject: RE: Songs You Don't Do Anymore
As per your request, submitted for your consideration are a couple of my satire/parodies(whic hare a legally protected form of speech) --

It's been a bout thirty years, since I wrote and performed any of these- Today, the lyrics may not seem like a fitting memorial to a fine, talented man who gave so much to so many, and left the world so soon, but at the time, his music was all over the place and he was fair game--

Thank God I'm a Country Boy

Well life on the farm is kinda laid back
I spend a lot of time with groupies in the sack
While a Hollywood promoter
keeps my business in the black
Thank god I·m a country boy

I can·t play bass,
And I can·t play fiddle ,
Got a lot of songs
That ain·t worth spittle,
Success ain·t nothing
But a funny, funny riddle,

Thank God, I·m a country boy!

I love my money,
Like Uncle Scrooge,
And hot, dumb women
Whose breasts are huge
I wear my hair like Moe the Stooge,

Thank God, I·m a country boy.

Appalachians Low(In Cinncinati)

He was bored in the summer of his 22th year,
causes his home was a dump behind a grocery store.
He left basketball behind him,
you might say he was ditched again,
When Ohio State walked him to the exit door.

When he first went off to college,
his life was far away
on the road
and hanging by a song.
But the his tibia was broken
and the school no longer cares,
If you can·t play,
scholarships don't last long.

In the Cuyahoga Appalachians low,
They·ll send you anywhere you want to go
The shouting at the free-throw
sounds better than you·d ever know
Apalachians low, in Cinncinati.
Appalachians Low, in Cinncinati.
