To say, "Oh, la vache!" can mean "Aw, shit", or "No shit", or "Are you sitting me?" or even "That's a crock of shit", and things can be "vachement"- meaning extremely -- funny or tragic or ridiculous or infuriating.

And if it is a vache-qui-rit, a smiling cow, then it's a picnic cheese product.
