Troll I think they were just biding their time. Had to make Saddam the more evil, and in the mean time kill off and weaken a million or so with sanctions. Then go on in without UN authorization anyway and finish what was started years ago. Or maybe not! All I do know is the UN couldn't have been the ones to stop them, because they obviously don't give a rats ass about what the UN has to say or we wouldn't be there now.
