Would you be in favor of a war in order to prevent one person a year from being tortured, knowing that the war's casualties would number at least in the hundreds of dead and thousands injured? Would you be opposed to a war to prevent genocide, if said genocide were accomplished with no more pain than American judicial executions? I admire the sentiment, but things are very rarely black-and-white.
