Napoleon's Caution to the future

I was a lowly Corporal, Napoleon Bonaparte my name,
I aimed my cannon ore the field and dreamed of wealth and fame
I dreamed I could unite the world, under my nation's rule
I longed for good governance, with terror as my tool.

My nation had suffered loss and war, and instability
I rallied her bloom of youth to march along with me
Our drums and cannons thundering great victories we'd gain
And I suffered with my armies on the barren Russian plain

But England I never thought, could be my own downfall
For now the French empire was great and they were small
But they threw me back in Spain and then we met at Waterloo
Let my lonely death in exile serve a grim warning to you.

And if my story's not enough, let Germany remind.
For another lowly soldier who had conquest on his mind
He dreamed of glory and rebirth, in my France he was detained
As a prisoner of war dark thoughts his soul with hate was stained

He rallied the bloom of youth to follow at his hand
With hatred and with anger he conquered many a land
With weapons of cold science and with ancient bigotry
He murdered millions of good folk, to blacken history

Though he seemed unstoppable he met his own downfall
The world rose up and put him down, heeding justice's call
He met an obscene bloody death in his bunker underground
And the world rejoiced at the news for justice would rebound

Now you, a son of privilege a wastrel in your youth
With dreams of family glory, obscuring simple truth
You took your nation's reins in hand, without democracy
The theft of an election in this the land of liberty

Your land was divided till a bloody fearful day
When twenty five criminals for vengeance they did lay
low the lives of thousands, in one evil bloody act
You took advantage on this pain, other nations to attack

You hide a craven coward, you could never lead like me
At the head of my army, and among my infantry
You send the bloom of youth to foreign lands to kill and die
Your privileged class to profit while you lead under a lie

I hope your dreams are haunted by Saint Helena's lonely shore
I hope you find the courage to stop the crime of your war
I pray the world will not demand the downfall of your land
For following your lies into this vane glorious stand.
