Back in the days of my having a band, "War" was very popular. As lead singer, I had the unfortunate task of trying to do this song. My attempts at immitating Mr. Starr's "soul grunt," as it was labeled by one of the band members, was found to be sorely lacking. I did it so poorly that the song was scrapped from the list. Still, it was and is a great song and he did a wonderful job of making it available to the world's ears.
