Seamus, I'm with you on minor league baseball. For the first few years I lived in Hawaii there was a Hawaii Winter Baseball League. Only 4 teams (Hilo Stars--our home team, West Oahu Cane Fires, Maui Stingrays and Honolulu Sharks). A and AA players (including two women at one point). The stadium in Hilo was small and friendly, you got to see the players up close and really feel a part of the game. Sadly, the league couldn't sustain itself and folded after 4 years. I miss it. A local journalist wrote a book about the league, called The Boys of Winter. Just in case anyone might be interested.
