Actually, ttr, the Army set up a big refugee camp in Kuwait, but so far have not had many takers. And the US did buy oil under the Oil-for-Food program but I don't know how much. Any trade that Iraq has had over the last 12 years, other than he Oil-for-Food program, has been illicit because of the UN sanctions so I doubt that legitimate world trade has been disrupted much at all.
