Eric, WHY does he want to do that?

If he just wants to play the music or produce a MIDI to play, it is little extra hassle to use copy and paste to duplicate the section that needs to be repeated.

If he wants to produce printed music showing the double dots to mark a repeat section, he is probably using the wrong software.
