I just spoke with Rosemarie today, and Travis is alive and kicking!! Here is an excerpt from her e-mail follow-up to me:

--TRAVIS IS ALIVE AND WELL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact he is singing and putting together a performance that will be available for gigs here and there.--

So, at least we don't have to worry about THAT anymore!
