Subject: Folk Roots/Folk Branches on CKUT
I've been lurking on (and occasionally contributing to) the discussions here on Mudcat for a couple of weeks now. As a refugee from rec.music.folk, which I've pretty much given up on, I've enjoyed this forum very much.

I host a weekly folk music program on CKUT (90.3 FM) in Montreal that can also be heard in RealAudio on the Web. "Folk Roots/Folk Branches" is a broadly-defined show that ranges from field recordings of traditional artists to contemporary songwriters and everything in between. Many of my shows include conversations with guests and some recent ones have included Pete Seeger, Peggy Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Tom Paxton, Noel Paul Stookey, Jesse Winchester, Dave Van Ronk and Judy Collins.

I'd like to invite Mudcatters to tune in if they can. The show is on Thursday mornings from 9-11:15 or 11:30 (eastern tme).

This week's show will include a tribute to my late friend Tex König and a scheduled in-studio visit from Kelly Joe Phelps. In her e-mail's Kelly's wife told me that he likes to play live on the radio so I'm expecting some live-on-air music this week.

The Folk Roots/Folk Branches website has information about the show, archived playlists and lots of links; including CKUT's RealAudio signal.
