You know, I THOUGHT that Springhopper's style looked pretty familiar! How'd that happen?

Folk Festival Info   Actually as far as special guests, there's no one anybody from off would know about except Glenn Ohrlin, and he doesn't count, because he lives here all the time anyhow. Then there are The Hammer Sisters , Lilian and Ruth, big local favorites from Neosho, MO. I figure they'd be world known, too, if they hadn't taken off 30 years or so to raise their families. I'd kinda describe their music as pretty close to the Louvin Brothers or the Blue Sky Boys. As far as the rest of the performers are concerned, even though they are not world famous, they ARE famous in the Center of the Universe, and that is even more important, I'd think.

What you need to do, hgsh, (shhg?) is to click around the Folk Center site until you find the e-newsletter that is put out every now and then, which usually also includes an interesting article from Music Director John Van Orman. Then look around until you find the banjo on the front page. Click on that and there'll be a pop-up with a bunch of downloadable RA songs from the Folks at the Folk Center. Good stuff.
