Two of my personal favorites:

Clifftop WV for the Appalachian String Band Festival.
Festival officially starts on Wednesday, July 30, 2003, but people start arriving the week before.
The site is gorgeous in a WV Mountains sort of way. The bathhouse is the height of luxury for a music festival. Food vendors provide a tasty array with something for every palate. Be sure to try the fried bologna (b'loney) sandwich.

If rough camping is not your forte, how about a week at Augusta?
The perfect vacation for the budget-conscious. Pick the theme week of your choice. One of the dorms is even air conditioned! The student cafeteria serves authentic WV cuisine. The salad bar is legendary.
