Subject: RE: Lyr & tune Req: I Will Stay (Bob Skingle)
Here's the tune as promised:

X:1
T:I Will Stay
M:4/4
L:1/4
Q:1/4=140
C:Bob Skingle
K:G
"Chorus:"B c|d2 B d|g2
w:You have tempt-ed me here
e c|A2 f e|e d2
w:With your hills and your moor-lands
(B/A/)|G2 e d|c2 c B|(A B) c d|B2
w:Your_ clear moun-tain streams flow-ing down_ to the bay
B c|d2 B d|g2 e c|A2 f e|e d
w:I have come to your town from a small rock-y is-land
B A|G2 e d|d c c B|G4-|G z||
w:But in val-ley and high-lands I will stay_
"Verse:"d d|e2 e g|(g f)
w:There is smoke in the air_
f e|d2 B d|g e3|
w:From your tall fact'-ry chim-neys
e e2 g|(g f) (f e)|d2 B d|e3
w:Red brick turns brown_ where_ kids laugh and play
e|e2 e g|g f2 e|d2 B d|g e2
w:Your land lives with leg-end and sings with proud mus-ic
e/ e/|e e2 e|e d c B|A4-|A z||
w:In your val-leys and high-lands I will stay_

The above is the version as printed in Sitting In The Sun, however ZM thinks line 3 of the chorus should end on d2 instead of B2 (bay) and we both think the chorus ended with I will stay repeated as:

B A|G2 e d|d c G E|D2 B A|G2||
w:But in val-ley and high-lands I will stay, I will stay

However it's the best part of 30 years since I last heard the song sung and that may be a trick of the memory.
