I've just got his last but one album from SurfDog records- Beatin' the Heat. It is wonderful and I am playing it constantly. Fine tracks with Bette Midler, Rikki Lee Jones, Elvis Costello and Tom Waits and includes a very different although still brilliant version of my fave Hicks tune , I Scare Myself.
Buy it you'll not regret it .
