The premier folk club in New England is Passim's (www.clubpassim.com)in Harvard Square,Cambridge-just across the river from Boston.It is easily accessible via the subway system -Harvard Square stop.Vance Gilbert is playing there on the 19th-highly recommended...North of Boston in Lowell is another great club called Capo's (www.caposcafe.com).I'm going there this Friday to see John Stewart....Southwest of Boston in Easton is The Blackthorne Tavern (www.blackthornetavern.com)-but I don't think they do much in the summer.
