Hi, Dan - I'm quite certain TALKIN' CANDY BAR BLUES was written by Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary. There is just a bit of doubt in my mind because Peter, Paul & Mary claimed copyrights on so many traditional songs - it does raise a question about which songs they actually did write. Same could be said for Bob Dylan. This one, though, certainly is not a traditional set of lyrics. The "talkin' blues" is a style that has been used by many singers, including Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie. If you do a Forum Search (click) for talkin, you'll find lots of information about other songs in this genre.
