My beloved, stubborn father-in -law, Bob, aged 85, once fiddler extrordinaire, who was and continues to be an inspiration to everyone he meets, regarding overcoming life's obstacles and living life to the fullest, has chosen to die at home rather than return to hopsital.
My husband and I are taking turns keeping him company, which is all that there is left to do right now. He's not getting his wish to go with his nailing belt on, but he almost managed that as well.
He certainly has had more than his four score and ten, he's tired and has more than earned his rest, but passings are still not without a lot of tears.
