If the American government would indeed consider planting evidence they would do a lousy job these days. Hinting in interviews that Saddam many have destroyed the weapons he had after all or may have tranferred them to Syria is not what you do if you plan to plant evidence. Also announcing the finding of suspicious plants, weapons, chemicals to be followed by the 'it is harmless' news the day after isn't what you do if you consider planting evidence.

The behaviour of the American government these days in this respect isn't compatible with the idea some of you entertain.

Maybe you should seriously consider the notion that the American government contrary to your expectations isn't willing to commit this particular crime.
