I just found this site yesterday and am so thrilled to see so many threads about shanties. Someone mentioned in one of the other threads that there is a sing in Boston; is it a shanty sing or some other genre? I'm feeling a little isolated in RI, (I know that sounds funny with Mystic Seaport not far away, but the truth is they are closed off in their own little world there) and would love to find some like-minded people to share music with.

The sings at South Street Seaport sound cool, and I'm glad to see there's one in D.C, but they are both WAYYYY too far away for me! I'm looking for something within a 1-2 hour radius of Rhode Island. Thanks!
