Hastings Jack in the Green Festival from Friday night to Monday. Mostly morris dancing with evening concerts and ceildhs culiminating in a large procession through the Old Town with a display in the castle.

Rochester Sweeps Festival is similar but on a larger scale with the whole of the High Street filled with dancers. COncerts and ceilidhs and most of the town center pubs having live music (not necessarily folks). There are also some events in the cathedral.
