I'm here! I've just been so busy at home and at work I haven't taken the time to cruise the threads or be available for my friends. Sorry about that.
I've been trying to figure out how and what I have to do to move to a small island in the South Pacific. It ain't easy! Plus I've been visiting Guam sites to see where I am headed. And talking with my sponsor out there.
This weekend I got Fred & Julia's guitar crate. It's large enough to carry four guitars in their cases. That will go with the unaccompanied baggage. I need to find large duffel bags for packing my clothes and linens. Then I have to decide how to pack the 10' spear and horned helmet....
I counted it out this morning. I have 33 days till my last day at work and 37 days till I fly out on my 25 hour flight to Guam. Believe it or not none of the flights go through California or Hawaii. I went to Orbitz.Com to see what a flight to Guam might cost and ran into one of those paradoxes (paradice?) that dominate the airline industry. A one way ticket to Guam is $1,433 and a round trip ticket (for my kids) is $1,438!
