An interesting aside.
The intro music for the show, and the theme for Suggs's song was a variant on the Seven Joys of Mary, as adapted for the Whitstable Mayday Jack in the Green procession. I wonder who had that idea?
But, I'm in total agreement with the above comments. It was with real relief to me that Eliza's contribution was treated with equal respect as Blur et al.
I had dreadful forebodings before I saw the show.
