I just got my travel orders for Guam! I guess I really am going. I don't know if I should be excited or scared. Consider this passage from an email from my sponsor:
"To answer your final question, have to say that our experience has been any location close to the water (eastern or western side) is breezier than it is further inland. Given the humditity, I can't say that there is any part of Guam that is warmer or cooler than any other - one will sweat profusely no matter where you are!
The power situation isn't as bad as it used to be - generally, the outages of long duration have been as a result of strong storms. With the typhoons we had last year, it was windy and comfortable a day or two after storm passage since the storm was still in the area - however, as it pulled away from Guam and power had yet to be restored, the next few days seemed to be windless, still days/nights where no breeze was evident anywhere (the kind where you can hear yourself sweat)."
