I had a nice Dixon as a start up. The action was too high though and it had to be lowered. It had some other problems for a 'leftie' but I muddled through enough to play with our folksinging group. Then an INCREDIBLE deal came up for a 'leftie' Martin and that was all she wrote.

Check Martins as well. They have a decent guitar for around $400 or less. You can have a look at them either at the Martin website or www.elderly.com. Elderly has fairly good prices on all of their instruments. Definately try something out before buying online though.
