Carol - I am moving to Guam for at least the next two years. I leave the second week of June. I expect to be able to visit fellow Mudcats in Australia and New Zealand as well as Hawaii and maybe even California. I will be learning a whole new field of folk music, the indigenous music of the Chamorro on Guam. And I will be introducing folk music to a hitherto barren wasteland of rock and roll and conservatism.
Stilly - the majority of my last post was a quote from my sponsor. The "my" wasn't mine but give me time. I do like to settle into an area.
Interestingly there are crank up radios available on the island. They are very used to dealing with typhoons. One of the comments I read was that the lease agreement for a rental needs to include typhoon shutters. I hadn't thought of those garden lights. I was figuring on kerosene lanterns. Good thought! Same light, no extra heat.
