Subject: RE: Origins: My Girl's a Corker
When I was little we had segregated schoolyards (boys and girls) and the 'infant' boys (under 7) had to play in the girl's yard. I was made to sing this ditty as I twirled a skipping rope. I also twirled to "On a mountain stands a lady, who she is I do not know ... All she wants is gold and silver, all she wants is a nice young man ...' Ah, yes, it all comes back to me now ;o)
