Even though we are actually in the wrong hemisphere and should have been celebrating All Hallows Eve, some of us went to watch the Sydney Morris Men dancing at Mrs Macquarie's chair in the Domain at dawn on May 1. It rained heavily for most of the time.

Then we walked round past the Opera House and Circular Quay where all the drab power-suited people were streaming off the ferry to work. What a sight we were - hats adorned with flowers and bells jingling and singing "Yo ho, yo ho, it's off to work we go!". It struck me then how rich my life is, even though I don't have much of material things.

Finally breakfast at the Lord Nelson pub in The Rocks, a sing, another pub, a drink and another sing, and the Morris Men danced again on the footpath outside. And all this before lunch. Life is good!
