As a disinterested follower of the great Shaky Egg/Folk Police saga I was amused to see in the episode of Frasier broadcast in the UK last week, that Cafe Nervosa hired a bad mockney "folk singer" played by Elvis Costello. As well as murdering Wild Rover and Tie Me Kangaroo Down (!) and driving "Frasier" to seek coffee elsewhere, he also gave "Niles" (David Hyde Pierce)a shaky egg to accompany him. The uptight Niles was transformed into a clone of Xavier Cugat,boogying round the cafe!
