As I have mentioned elsewhere, this is a EuroGathering and the proposed dates are particularly good for most mainland European visitors as they coincide with public holidays in mainland Europe. Moving the dates because they happen to clash with a couple of the many dozens of UK festivals, all attended by many different UK 'Catters, will inevitably mean far few mainland European attendees.
