I have a 1920's picture of Alice Blue Gown, formerly owned by my mother's cousin. It is not a portrait of Alice Roosevelt, rather a chocolate box or calendar picture & one of my treasures. My faulty memory thought Alice had blue eyes, but she was certainly associated with this shade of blue.

My Alice is a pretty young lady with her blond hair bunched over her ears, wearing a light blue (Alice Blue) dress with a wide gathered skirt and a shawl with blue flowers on a lemony bckground. The picture would have been painted in the early 20's, before women became sophisticated women of the world - before short hair & short skimpy dresses
