I was at a Gordon Tyrell gig last Friday and he sang Richard Thompson's classic - 1952 Vincent Black Lightning. What a great song and Gordon does it really well. Anyway, we were chatting about bikes after the gig and Gordon told me that there is a mistake in the lyrics - apparently as the VBL was a racing machine, it never had any ignition keys. Towards the end of the song though, James (the dying bike owner) hands his girlfriend Red Molly the keys to his bike! So did Richard T get it wrong? Not that it makes much difference 'cos I still love that song!!
