The special flaps they design-in on the exhausts of Lamborghini's &/or Aston Martins are excruciatingly annoying in the extreme. In the turning heads stakes, conspicuous consumption is not nearly enough. So they have to make a lot more low frequency noise at tickover just to get the attention of people who don't give a damn what car they are driving.

Bikes use less roadspace and only modified bikes make too much noise in my experience.
