Here's a thought-- when klez was just the music of the people (you know, FOLK to the people it belonged to)-- how did younger/newer players get into it?

Let's see, they probably listened to it from birth, soaked up the sounds, had a yen to play it, figured bits and pieces of it out when no one was looking, joined in shyly from the sidelines and played as well as they could, asked older players for a little help now and then, and eventually grew up into the next generation of players.

D'ya think maybe it could (oughtta) be learned that way now?
