I don't know what gives you the idea that I have a problem with some peoples sense of humour. I have voiced support to folks who did have a problem with that and other things in the past it is true.

My concern is mainly that everyone feels at home here stays and contributes. We are all different here and that is the strength of the place. It's is not necessary for all of us to try to have the same sense of humour, or interests and I would not like to give the impression to new folk that they have to try to be anything other than themselves, to be accepted here.

Jeri's suggestion about the FAQs sounds like it may help. Some explanation of the Mudcat mythology (tiples, possums and hairy shirts and such) would help to address the appearance, for new folk of walking into private jokes.

There is not much, if anything wrong here. It certainly is not a clique as the acid test of that, is that I am still here along with many other 'lurkers, shirkers and midnight burpers' (you know who you are).
