Some of the reservations do very well; unfortunately, some others of them don't. I don't know if it's true any more that the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota is the poorest place in the US - it used to be so. One of the problems is that Native Americans have the highest per capita rate of alcoholism in the country. Maybe someone who is better informed about Native American affairs can expound.

Guantanamo is a prison camp. It ain't the French Riviera.
