If that dreaded event had occurred, I would have had to bear part of the responsibility. For even though I live way out in the country where there is no cable and I have a crappy dial-up connection that refuses to even let me stay online at all if there is a thunderstorm within a day's drive and, yes, it was raining last night, the continuity of this thread is far more important than a mere individual's choice of lifestyle. If necessary, I will sell my humble country abode, abandon my pastoral lifestyle, and move to the vile concrete and crime-ridden city and live in a condominium so I can have a cable modem just so I can assume personal responsibility for the welfare of this thread.

And, sure, whales fart. In fact, it was not an iceberg that sunk The Titanic. It was a huge frozen whale fart. That's why it was so difficult to see. It came rising up from the depths and popped up to the surface just in time for The Titanic to ram it. It's also quite possible that many of the disappearances in The Bermuda Triangle can be attributed to whale farts but I'll leave it up to some other whacko to work out exactly how.
