Wow, thanks folks! I've gotten so many lovely offers so far, both on the forum and by PM, I can't wait to see you all!

Here's how it's looking so far...

Thanks for the warm offer, LTS-- looks like I'll be staying in London with a flute player in Crouch End. (I love that name. Spaw? Where are you Spaw?)

Micca, the Sharps Folk Club sounds great, but I fear I'll be coming into London too late (and too jet-lagged) to make that a reasonable goal. On Wed and Thur (25,26) I'll be doing research during the day, but in the evening my host has offered to take me to her locals, the Auld Triangle and the Goat. I don't think there is a session that night at either place, but I'll bet there's a pint to be had... would you care to meet us there, or is there a session we should know about in town one of those evenings?

Bassic, I'll be flying from London to Edinburgh on Fri 27, because I have to be at Univ. of Edinburgh early in the day. I'll be waving out the plane window at all you Yorkshire Catters, wishing I could be down there making music with you-- may I have a rain check and build Yorkshire into my next visit? Or you could bring the Yorkshire contingent down to London and we'll have a great session with Liz and Micca... :o)

So far the Edinburgh sessions I've been invited to are at The Tass and Sandy Bell's (I'm meeting Allan Johnson there) and the Royal Mile (recommended because it has piano I can use.) Anyone in Edinburgh?

I'm booked at the Edinbane festival in Skye, and in the weeks surrounding it I'll be at the Gaelic College (Sabhal Mor Ostaig) and out in the Western Islands. Giok, Lairg looks beautiful, but I won't get that far east this trip. Maybe next time on my way up to the Shetlands? Thank you for the offer.

The Mudcat generousity is coming through again, not surprisingly. I'm so sorry I can't see everybody I'd like to, but it's great to know you're out there, wherever we go.

I'm meeting up with Maeve Donnelly in Ireland, but we won't be at Willie Week as long as we thought. (Spaw? Willie week? Aw c'mon...) So I have a little more free time on the Irish end of the trip-- if there are any Irish Catters between Dublin and Milltown Malbay or up in Westport let's do some damage, shall we?
