Regarding your accusation that I am "the monger of degenerate abasement around here", I am sure that in some areas of the country people do keep generators in their basements, but, here in Florida, the water table is far too high for basements to be practical. We generally keep our generators in our garages. I'll let the mongrel part slide as it's more or less the truth. My family didn't exactly come over on The Mayflower.
