Mary, I can't hope to buy a duplex or triplex in LA -- and there are very few of them anyway. I'd be looking at a minimum of $400,000 anywhere that doesn't require a 2 hour drive to work.

Me? I'm looking at 1 bedroom condos in the high 100's, and having trouble at that price. I check the MLS more often than Mudcat :)
