Meta tags are going out of fashion among search engines. Still use
them however. but they should map onto phrases in the body.

Use phrases in the body of your page that people will search on. Don't hide key terms in graphics - it is a classic mistake to put the site's name into a fancy graphic and not show it anywhere in plain text.

Give each page a proper title and description.
