Ours is window screen and we only leave the sliding glass door open in summer. In winter, it takes a 2 legged to open the glass door.Ref the window---one of ours does that and I have just decided to leave the torn up screen on for her to jump on and never open the glass. It's right by the computer anyway which I don't need wet or dirtier than it already is...............
