Oh joy. Another genetically engineered plants that hasn't been tested for safety and WON'T be tested for safety, but we're suppose to smile and be unwitting guinea pigs.

As a person with a severe food allergy, I take a dim view of genetic engineering. They frequently insert genes from other plants, the process is secret so you can't find out if they used your allergen, they aren't labelled so you can't avoid them, and even supplies that are theoretically GMO free are frequently contaminated. I just can't WAIT until the day someone inserts an onion gene into a carrot that sends me to the hospital or even kills me because I can't taste what I need to avoid.
