There have been many investigations and fines, much fingerpointing, dodging etc. If you'll go to google and punch in olympic pipeline, you'll find several reports, investigations etc. One of the scarier parts of this story is the the actual Olympic pipeline runs very close to, and in some cases above, the surface, for several HUNDRED miles in the Puget Sound region. I actually have stumbled into it several times over the years, not realizing it was there. Our great fear of course is that if it could happen once in downtown Bellingham, it could possibly happen again somewhere else. Bob Nelson, Everett, Washington
